John Steinberg
John Steinberg, Ph. D. is the author of 40 books about leadership, training, communication and learning. He is originally from Rochester, New York but works from his outpost near Stockholm, Sweden.
He is familiar with both American and European management styles and the author of Share and Prepare, the new training program for city employees. Variations on this training guide are being developed for business, education and the medical community.
John’s life theme is empowerment. His writing and lecturing give tools and principles for getting everyone involved in work place development. Originally trained as an educational psychologist he has a deep passion for learning, schooling and competence development.
The Prepare and Share concept is based on the idea that the best way to develop a work place is to get employees to share stories of what works and to encourage them to gain even more personal competency. The Prepare and Share program is easy, inexpensive and very down to earth and practical.
John is an inspiring and practical public speaker, trainer and management consultant. He has worked as a manager in the public sector and for four years was on his local city council. John is very familiar with the challenges of city governments.
Lecture and training topics include: humanistic leadership, finding strengths, alternative education and learning, values clarification, the art of positive influencing -and many more. John is an eclectic – drawing inspiration from many sources and does an excellent job of taking theory (for example strength theory) and converting it to practice wisdom and staff development tools.
